Children’s Good Friday Service
Good Friday is one of the most important days in the Church’s year and yet the services we have in church can be quite long and difficult for children. We will have a short service at both St Mary’s and Our Lady of Lourdes on Good Friday to help the children think about the last journey and death of Jesus. We will all have a chance to dress up, process around the grounds and conclude with a prayer in the church.

There will be services at two of our churches:
St Mary’s, Woburn Sands at 10am 
Our Lady of Lourdes, St Paul’s School at 12pm

Open House 

Open house will take place this week on Monday 2nd February, as usual, at Christ the King Church, Kent’s Hill, MK7 6HQ from 5.30pm to 7.00pm. This is an opportunity to ‘pop in’ with administrative type tasks, such as arranging a Baptism, countersigning School Admission forms and passport applications etc. This year, Confirmation enrolment will also take place at Open House. There is no need to make an appointment just come along and meet with one of the team.

“Come and See”

Men aged 18 and over who are wondering whether God may be calling them to the priesthood are warmly invited by our Vocations Director, Fr Pius Amoako, to a “Come and See” Discernment Day on Saturday 28th March 2026 at Our Lady Help of Christians and St Lawrence, Olney. The discernment day starts at 11am and finishes at 4pm.

“There is no pressure to sign up or commit to anything,” Fr Pius explains. “This is simply an opportunity to come and see, to ask questions, to seek clarification, and to talk honestly about anything that may be confusing or weighing on your heart when it comes to the priesthood.”

Journey with Jesus Through Lent

During Lent the Pastoral Development Vicariate is offering you the opportunity for weekly online small-group sessions, (various days and times are available),to help individuals deepen their relationship with Jesus through Scripture using St Beuno’s Outreach Prego resources. Each session is 45 minutes and invites you to pray and reflect on the Scripture for the coming Sunday. The programme runs once a week for six weeks starting the week of February 16th.
